While ambassadors of several European countries shamefully accept invitations from a murderous regime, thousands of people are being slaughtered in the streets of Iran!

Iran: Death Toll at Least 12,000, Mass Killings, Mass Arrests, and Imminent Executions

26-year-old protester Erfan Soltani faces execution within days

Iran is witnessing a massacre in real time.

On Monday, 12 January, the Iranian regime invited the ambassadors of the UK, Germany, France, and Italy to Tehran and showed them a fabricated propaganda video of the protests. Astonishingly and disgracefully, these ambassadors accepted the invitation, sat comfortably with regime officials, and watched lies on a screen while protesters were being gunned down in the streets outside.

This is beyond shameful.

Why did none of these ambassadors refuse to attend?
Why have they not been recalled immediately?
Why are the regime’s ambassadors still welcome in European capitals?

At least 12,000 people have already been massacred by the regime and its IRGC. How many more bodies are required before European governments, the EU, and the United Nations act? This is not neutrality, this is complicity. It is collaboration through silence with crimes against humanity.

A 26-year-old protester, Erfan Soltani, arrested on 8 January 2026, now faces imminent execution. His family has been informed that he is scheduled to be executed on Wednesday, 14 January 2026. His life — and the lives of thousands like him — hangs in the balance.

Eyewitnesses from cities across Iran, including Hamedan, Kermanshah, and Shiraz, report hundreds killed by security forces, with bodies stacked in hospital corridors. Thousands are injured, many deliberately denied medical treatment and left to die. Thousands more have been arrested nationwide.

Let us be clear:
This is not a crackdown.
What is happening in Iran constitutes crimes against humanity and amounts to war crimes.

In Shiraz, a doctor has issued desperate pleas for help, warning that critically injured protesters will not survive without urgent medical assistance. Across the country, security forces are shooting protesters en masse and arresting anyone they can seize.

Political Prisoners and Detainees in Extreme Danger

According to information received by the Campaign to Free Political Prisoners in Iran (CFPPI), arrests continue daily across the country. Political prisoners and newly detained protesters face grave and immediate danger, especially after the regime cut internet and communications nationwide, isolating Iran from the world.

Families report that detainees are being transferred to unknown locations. Since the blackout, all contact with many prisoners has been severed, raising serious fears of secret executions.

Erfan Soltani’s case is not an exception, it is a warning.

The World Must Act — Now

Despite relentless bloodshed, people across Iran continue to protest with extraordinary courage. The regime’s response has been mass shootings, mass arrests, and mass killings.

Words of condemnation are no longer enough.

While European ambassadors remain in Iran and the regime’s diplomats continue to operate freely abroad, Iranians are being massacred. This so-called “business as usual” is not diplomacy, it is collusion with crimes against humanity committed by the regime.

CFPPI warns that every hour of international silence costs lives.

CFPPI Calls on Governments and the International Community to:

  • Immediately withdraw all ambassadors from Iran
  • Expel the Islamic regime’s ambassadors and diplomats
  • Demand the immediate release of all political prisoners and recent detainees
  • Apply maximum pressure to halt executions and repression
  • Demand full restoration of internet and phone communications
  • Demand an immediate end to the killings

We urge individuals, human rights organizations, unions, and all people of conscience to contact their governments now and demand decisive action.

Silence is no longer neutral. Silence is complicity.
