Report 1: An update report on the recent detainees in Iran
Since the start of the recent protests in Iran, the Campaign to Free Political Prisoners in Iran (CFPPI) has issued several statements regarding the numbers and the situations of the detainees who were arrested during the recent protests in Iran. One week after the start of the recent protests, which started on 16 September 2022 following the death of 22 years old woman Mahsa Amini, CFPPI started an international campaign to draw people’s attention to the dangerous situation the detainees are facing in Iran. CFPPI has started documenting the details of the detainees and has been calling for their immediate and unconditional release. CFPPI has also been continuously warning the international community that the lives of the detainees are in danger.
