We would like to invite you to a very important event in London. The People’s Tribunal on the atrocities of the November 2019 protests in Iran will hear hundreds of witnesses testify against Iran’s regime. The tribunal is going to be held from Wednesday 10 November to Sunday 14 November in London.
Campaign to Free Political Prisoners in Iran ( CFPPI) has been campaigning to draw public attention to the atrocities committed by the Islamic regime in Iran in November 2019. Following the crackdown on the protests in Iran in November 2019, 1500 including more than 20 children were shot by the security forces, and more than 8000 were arrested. About this event
The testimonies of those attacked, victimised and affected by the atrocities in Iran in November 2019, that left thousands dead, imprisoned or injured, will be heard in London at the public hearings for an international People’s Tribunal, the Iran Atrocities Tribunal. The hearings will take place from November 10th-14th, 2021 at Church House, Westminster and are open to the public.
Coinciding with the 2nd anniversary of the November 2019 protests which followed the massive, sudden spike in fuel prices, the Tribunal Panel, composed of internationally renowned lawyers will hear the testimonies of victims, family members, eyewitnesses and protestors.
The Iran Atrocities Tribunal, also known as the ‘Aban Tribunal’, will be held as the international community has failed to take any meaningful action against the perpetrators of the atrocities. Of those testifying at the public hearings in London, some were directly involved in the protests, others were bystanders; some were injured themselves, others saw loved ones, friends, or strangers injured by Iranian security forces. Many witnesses prepared to testify were protestors or were arrested and can reveal the nature of the detention centres and prisons.
Reviewing the cases of 133 accused top high-ranking officials, the Tribunal will consider all evidence from the hearings before making a judgement on whether they have committed crimes against humanity and other grave human rights violations in 2022. Of the accused are Iran’s Supreme Leader, Khamenei, and its president, Raisi.

Background:
On November 15th, 2019, protests broke out nationally after a sudden spike in fuel prices. The peaceful protests met with brutality and horrific violence. In the few days that followed, amidst a total internet shutdown, thousands were killed, injured or detained, some of whom are now on death row, awaiting execution.
