The Amnesty International Appeal of Turkey unlines for Sepideh Ghaliyan and Ismail Bakhshi, two defenders of the rights of workers who are at risk of torture. Sepideh Ghalyan and Ismail Bakhshi were arrested by Ministry of Intelligence agents violently in Ahwaz on January 20.
Evidence suggests that the detention was a retaliatory action taken in response to the previous statements of the two-person alleging torture during their arrest in October and November 2018.
Since then, they are kept in the Ahvaz detention center without access to a lawyer and are at risk of torture and other cruel and inhuman acts.
