The International Labor Organization in its constitution recognizes the right to have independent organizations in matters that are not in conflict with the law. Specifically, this right has been enacted in Conventions 87 and 98 as the freedom of association and the protection of the right to formally organize. According to ILO Convention No. 87 of the International Labor Organization, as employers can have an independent organization, Workers are also free from discrimination and without the need for prior permission can establish independent organisation.
The Islamic Republic of Iran is one of the active members of this organization and has joined many of its conventions and is committed to its implementation.
In domestic law, the constitution as the most important source of law in Iran in Article 26 recognizes the right to form an organisation .
Shahabi, despite having spent years of jail sentence , continues to be in prison while his medical condition has been neglected and he is in need of medical care and treatment.
At the end of this statement, lawyers called for the release of Reza Shahabi and considering the pressure on family, colleagues and associates.
