We call on the forces of the October Revolution and all liberators to raise their voice with us to abolish the death penalty for the four demonstrators in Wasit, and participate in the demonstrations that are organized against this unjust ruling!!
The ruling of the Kut Criminal Court Thursday, March 10, 2022 in Iraq, against four activists: (Mohammed Attia Hussein), (Abbas Ali Aziz), (Kadhim Hadi Kazem) and (Hussein Saddam Hashem) in Wasit Governorate, on the grounds of accusing of them participating in the murder incident of The victim (Police Captain Ali Abdul-Hussein Shaish). The incident occurred between the police who were protecting the Azizia Power Plant and the demonstration of the people who were protesting against the worsening of the electric power.
During the October Revolution, in which more than 800 activists and demonstrators were killed and assassinated, more than 25,000 demonstrators were wounded, hundreds were arrested and faced torture, large numbers whose fate is still unknown, and there are still large numbers in government prisons and Islamic militia parties. So far, no one has been convicted of any criminal offence that had used snipers and live ammunition and participated in horrific massacres. They are a sectarian-nationalist government and represent the most reactionary forces in Iraq against the most incredible, significant, and humanitarian revolution.
We are announcing the issuing of the death sentence against the demonstrators a political judgment and an attempt to intimidate the demonstrators to create a repressive atmosphere. This sentence is an effort to destroy the October Revolution because they are still living in fear and hysteria from the revolution.
We declare that we will not remain silent on the death penalty against the four youths, and we stand with them with all our strength and capabilities, and we announce a global campaign against this unjust, reactionary and anti-revolutionary verdict.
